It's Currently July with Farley

I know some schools go back this month.  July is the month where no trainings are scheduled.  I'm going to try not to think about school.

--listening to construction.  There are two seasons in Seattle: rain and road construction.  They are redoing the entrance to my street.  What a mess!

-- loving the berries in my yard.  It's going to be 80 today, so I watered my garden first thing and found a ripe strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry.  Yum!

-- thinking about what to do today.  I'm trying to balance my summer with projects and rest.

-- wanting to take better photos.  I haven't decided if I should take a class or just read some articles and take field trips.

-- needing to take a walk.  I just need to exercise...period.  Maybe I should take my camera. ;)

I don't know what we are doing yet for the 4th.  We are not late night people, but usually the neighborhood is noisy.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

  1. Hi Mary!
I found your blog through the Currently linky. I've always wanted to visit Washington, I've heard it's so beautiful! I don't know about where you are with your photos, but I rarely EVER took any, and then I discovered Instagram. It has been a huge photo "opportunity" for me and got me to take more! Have a great day!

    1. I know so many people who are on Instagram. I never seem to have pictures I am willing to share.

  3. So jealous of your berries! My poor plants are swimming after all the rain we got the last week or so. We joke here about our four seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and construction, so I know how you feel! Have fun with whatever you do on the fourth!

    1. I just visited your blog. I know you mentioned you live in Canada, but I don't know which part. I'm guessing not near Vancouver, B.C. because Seattle weather is close to Vancouver weather.

  4. Berry bushes would be the best to have! We had herbs this spring and they didn't make it through the heat of NOVA. But we got quite a few amazing basil, tomato, mozz salads and guacamoles with cilantro.

Head on over to my blog and check out my new teacher planner! I am also doing a giveaway!

    1. I just stopped by your blog. I love the name.
I'm growing herbs also. We have moderate weather here just north of Seattle, so I can grow a lot. I can't wait for the fresh basil.

  6. I'm so glad I found you via Farley's link-up! I try to take July "off" from school things too but they keep sneaking into my day! I'm a little buried in story stones at the moment! :)

    1. Hi Jenn,
Making story stones looks like fun...at least the ones I've seen on Pinterest.
      Thanks for stopping by.
