May Already -- Currently with Farley

It's time for May Currently with Farley.  April zipped by and I haven't done much bloghopping this month.  I'm looking forward to connecting with some teaching blogger friends and meeting new ones.

I'm listening to the heat kick on.  Here north of Seattle, we had a bit of hail and snow this week.  We are hoping predictions for a warm weekend are true.

I'm loving that testing is almost done.  We have the state writing test tomorrow and then I get to go back to being a teacher instead of a test proctor.

I'm thinking that I need to get to bed soon.

But I'm wanting to read a little bit first.

I need to finish folding laundry.  I probably will put it off until tomorrow.

My summer bucket list includes reading for fun, catching up on sleep, and taking several long walks.

  1. I love summer walks- listening to the cicadas, the birds, and just taking in the beauty of summer and the warmth it brings! I'm popping over from the Currently linky to say HI! Also, I have a friend from Buckley, WA coming to see me tomorrow! I love the Seattle area :)

    XO, Allie

    1. Hi Allie,
I just now was visiting your blog. Do you ever visit your friend here?

  2. The weather has been crazy here this spring. I am in Texas and it is supposed to be in the 30's tomorrow - today was 86! It is making dressing my kids (and myself) a huge challenge.

Is laundry something you can finish? I just ask because I can't even remember ever being finished with it. I have four kids, so it is the bane of my existence. I love the IDEA of being able to finish it.... you are giving me hope!

    I love your blog!

    1. I have a basket that has been sitting here too long. I just want to fold that pile...for now.

  3. Hello-
Found you through Farley's Currently and am excited to be your newest follower.

I am from Missouri, but am currently in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I took a nice walk this morning on the beach. It was so refreshing and absolutely gorgeous.
I love traveling and was just thinking on the plane yesterday that I have been to almost every region of the US except for yours. Might have to put it on a future summer's bucket list. lol
I have went to California and now Alabama this year.
Don't think I'm going anywhere else for awhile. lol

I, like you, need to go to sleep. lol We wake up so early here so we can sit on the deck and look at the ocean. Seeing it's 11:30, might be a good idea.

Excited to check out your blog! :)

    1. It's nice to meet you.
I think you would like it here. I definitely recommend a summer visit, because it is sunny but cooler than the Gulf.

  4. Ha! I need to fold some laundry myself!! I'm also trying to sneak in some reading time!!!
